Early Childhood Education - Houston, TX
A burst pipe in a sprinkler system caused by freezing temperatures flooded a 5,000 square foot early childhood education center in Houston, TX during Winter Storm Uri in February of 2021.
Texas General responded to the incident and assisted the facilities manager in defining the requirements to restore the property including content removal, surgical removal of damaged building materials, mechanical drying effort and rebuilding. We performed the removal of the damaged building materials, drying of structural components with commercial equipment and rebuild of the damages.
Texas General performed an assessment and estimate of the repairs required and worked on the insured’s behalf to ensure the scope of work approved by the insurance company matched the requirements. The work was performed in a timeframe allowing the facilities manager to resume the use of the facilities for summer classes.
