Residential Home – The Woodlands, TX

A 10,000 sqft house located in The Woodlands experienced water damage. At the time of the discovery it was unclear to the homeowner the source of the water damage. Through investigative techniques and experience TGC was able to identify the leak source.

Water was entering the home through the exterior walls due to improper installation of an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). The problem was first identified in the back of the house and thought to only exist in a single location. Upon further investigation TGC identified multiple points of entry and the entire EIFS was removed and replaced.

The water infiltration damaged not only the exterior envelope of the house, but also the wood floors, wallpaper and other custom decorative finishes. TGC performed a full pack out of the contents of the house in order to remove the damaged areas and begin the reconstruction process. TGC replaced all damaged flooring, interior walls and wall coverings as well as the exterior EIFS.
